- Charity #2 and my brain

So the second Charity Oddball blanket will be started here is the link to the forum postings about it.

The first blanket has already made it to three people, and I believe is on it's way to the fourth. And ALREADY, people are signing up to participate in the second go-round!!! How cool is that?!?

Also, the second blanket has already been cast-on (300 stitches), and is going to start it's round the country trek. Since different people will be participating in the second blanket, it will be going to different states and towns. I will post where it will be going later on. Shandeh is the person who is organizing the Charity Blanket, and here is a link to her blanket blog. Shandeh is wonderful to have taken on such a project!!!

The KH people are amazing. A lot of them knit for charities already, yet are planning on doing more. The people I know who knit, don't really knit for themselves. (Personally, I can't think of one thing I've knitted for myself, and I have projects lined up for others). I am planning on knitting a shirt for myself, one of these days, it's cute and I found it in the Big Girl Knits book. It's a hemp shirt, that is really, really cute, and I can't wait to make it.....sometime next year perhaps.

As for the yarn swap "kblue" is going to organize that!!! "kblue" is my new best friend!

I just took an online test, and we all know how stunningly accurate they are so I thought I'd share the results:

Right Brain 46%
Left Brain 50%
*results won't usually add up to 100% as this test measures each side seperately

Left brain dominant individuals are more orderly, literal, articulate, and to the point. They are good at understanding directions and anything that is explicit and logical. They can have trouble comprehending emotions and abstract concepts, they can feel lost when things are not clear, doubting anything that is not stated and proven.
Right brain dominant individuals are more visual and intuitive. They are better at summarizing multiple points, picking up on what's not said, visualizing things, and making things up. They can lack attention to detail, directness, organization, and the ability to explain their ideas verbally, leaving them unable to communicate effectively.
Overall you appear to have fairly Equal Hemispheres
According to Darwinian theory, optimal evolution takes place with random variation and selective retention. The evolution savvy individual will try many different approaches when faced with a problem and select the best of those approaches. Many historical intellectuals have confessed their advantage was simply considering/exploring/trying more approaches than others. The left brain dominant type suffers from limited approaches, narrow-mindedness. The right brain dominant type suffers from too many approaches, scatterbrained. To maintain balanced hemispheres, you need to exercise both variability and selection. Just as a company will have more chance of finding a great candidate by increasing their applicant pool, an individual who considers a wider set of options is more likely to make quality decisions.

So in case you want to find out if you are a leftist brain, a rightist brain, or like me :-) just a brain, here is the link.
